-Virtual Field Trips-

Some tours include artifacts or works of art that may not meet with your personal standards (including classical nudes). I have done my best to mark these sources. (*) You are the best judge of what your family needs. Please use at your discretion.

Take a look at who wore what and WHY, learn about era currency from our country (and a few others). Then delve into the delicate work of art restoration and explore Colonial maps!

Many of the pieces here offer 360 degree views of beautiful works of classic Greek art. Marble statues, bronze helmets, detailed mosaics, carvings, pottery and paintings can be seen here.

Take this tour "guided" or peek around on your own. I actually suggest using both. The guided version gives great information about the fresco paintings and ceiling along with the use of the chapel itself, but it moves a little too quickly. Take some time to choose your favorite pieces and explore them a little more if you'd like.

With a virtual tour of each room, you can view nearly 1,000 items in the Museum. Galileo's biography, item descriptions and video clips round out the experience. You can delve deep with this one!

A very ambitious and generous gentleman has put together a tour of multiple locations. Photos, historical events and battle dates are included. Don't miss Valley Forge!

Panoramic, birds eye view of this gorgeous city! Nearly two dozen view points, including the immaculate engineering feat that is the Eiffel Tower. The night time images are spectacular!

A beautiful panorama (pan up and down, zoom in or out) of each of the Seven Wonders and links for viewing additional images. Whether it's the grandeur of the Colosseum in Rome or the majesty of The Great Wall of China, the detail is well worth a click.

This one is huge! View thousands of art works in some of the world's most famous museums. Search by artist, time period or even COLOR! It's a great compliment to any art program, allowing you create a portfolio of your favorite works AND make notes about them.

Tour our galaxy (or another, for that matter). view constellations, planets and Hubble telescope images. They even have a link to their "Earth and Sky" podcast which has an article and short podcast on a specific planet or entity highlighted that day.

Would you like to know how a typical helicopter flight over Mt. Everest goes? This site documents just such a trip with detailed photos and an online story. Don't miss the 360 virtual tour at the bottom of the page!

The story of the famous Jewish family who hid in the upstairs of a German building during WWII. Learn the ins and outs, who is who and tour the home. It's a powerful story on a wonderful site.

Literally "walk" through the museum and view permanent exhibits (like the T-Rex skeleton). Just click the blue arrows to keep going. The pictures are great!

Tour the rooms, gardens and grounds of the place that houses the famous "Blarney Stone." See the dungeon, court, Witches Rock and then click on "History" to learn about the castle's construction, families who have lived there and view REALLY cool archival footage!

This site is special in that you not only get to explore the many facets of ancient Egypt, but also take a look at what modern life is like. Monuments, history, religion and daily life categories give you a chance to really explore the life of ancient Egyptians and see how much things have changed compared to today. Finish off your tour with a word search, coloring book or hieroglyphics.

An interactive experience done to near perfection. Crisp imagery, beautiful panoramas and many videos. Hear personal reflections of some of the guides and how Lincoln influenced their lives. Read about the monument's history and re-dedication. Zoom in on the immaculately detailed sculpture of Lincoln's face and ponder the sheer weight of his presidency during The Civil War.
