If you use use a PC, chances are you have Windows products! Here Microsoft gives introductory tutorials on the last five versions of Windows and Internet Explorer. These are a great way to help your kids find their way around and (frankly) I learned quite a bit myself!

Holy beans, does Apple have you covered! Pad, phone, watch TV, Mac or MacBook, this site will give you step by step intros on set up, basic use and has an area to explore too. No intimidation here, just lots of empowerment to help you get the most out your devices.
Typing, Photoshop, app development and programming are just a tiny sample of the free courses this site offers. Learn to design a website, use the cloud or get a better grasp of social media. Occasionally there will be a fee for a printed certificate, but all courses are free to take. The site does use ads, but the ones I encountered were subject related and appropriate.
Learn to code step by step for free. Code Academy walks you through the basics of what code is and what the different types mean, then you can select the type of code you want to learn. They cover HTML & CSS, JAVA Script, Python and SASS. A brief intro to that type of code is followed sets of tasks to be completed along with an explanation. Tasks become more complex and explanations more detailed as you go along. Registration is required.
