-College Courses-
From Stanford and Yale to Johns Hopkins and Notre Dame, many Universities are now offering Open Courseware. This simply means you can take some of the same courses they offer for free. The exception being some courses will require textbooks or further reading, but what a great way to gain access to all of that knowledge! (Want to do the coursework, but can't afford the textbook? Buy it used or RENT ONE from Amazon for a fraction of the cost)! This site lists the top colleges ranked, course categories and the number of courses offered.
(Not all course materials will align with personal values and worldview. Please review courses before enrollment. Not all courses accreditted).

Hillsdale is a conservative, privately funded college offering free courses on history, government, literature, and civics. I THOROUGHLY enjoyed the wit and perspective of the professor who taught Economics 101. Other titles include Constitution 101, Western Heritage and a study of Great Books!
So much free learning! Coursera has partnered with some of the top universities to bring you an extensive "catalog" of open courses. You can browse the catalog and select a course. You are then given the option of paying to take the course with a certificate of completion, or simply enrolling in the course to learn the material (also awesome)! Learning categories include Arts, Business, Computer and Data, The Sciences, Math and more!
Similar to other open courseware sites, this one has a HUGE selection of courses in 30 categories! A few of the highlights (there were many) include Beginner Italian, Human Anatomy, AP Biology and AP Calculus. You must create an account to enroll in any courses. Most of them are self paced and grading is dependent on you as well. Not all courses come with the option to certify on this site, so please check carefully before you enroll if you need the certificates for record keeping in your state. This link will take you directly to the free course link.
Many courses here offer a video preview (awesome)! The selection of free courses isn't quite as diverse, but there are TWO great things about this site: The majority of the paid courses are only $15 and many of the free courses still come with certificates! Try "Meet your brain," "Intro to Accounting," "Secret Sauce to Great Writing," or "Piano for Beginners."
