The wonderful world of Kindle!

Free e-books... on your phone, tablet OR desktop??? Yes sir (or ma'am) you heard me right! Free e-books and plenty of them.

If you are at all familiar with the web site Amazon, or have seen many tablets, you have probably heard of the "Kindle." In it's original form, Kindle was simply an e-reader (an electronic device with a much larger screen than the typical phone could dare to come near) capable of reading, annotating and storing books in digital form for compact, reading on the go). Now a' days (yes I'm THAT old) it has evolved into multiple versions. From upgraded e-reader (here) to full blown tablet with all of the bells and whistles (there).

Now back to the good stuff! I have a personal "library" of about two hundred Kindle books. Everything from "A Connecticut Yankee in King Arthur's Court" and "The Federalist Papers" to "101 ways to stretch a dollar" and "Chemical free cleaning." And those are a drop in the bucket! To make things even MORE appealing, and stick with the whole "free and frugal learning" thing I have going on here, If you can't spring for a tablet or smart phone and do most of your reading at home, never fear... the Kindle app for PC is here! Just click on the link in bold, and download. You'll be ready for free books in no time!

If you DO have those handy, portable devices and would like to start carrying your books in a much lighter fashion (while keeping a little stoutness to your wallet) visit this page on the aforementioned fabulous contraption and download directly.

On a personal note, these Kindle books really saved our homeschool when my husband was laid off last spring. I honestly know what it's like to be facing the reality that homeschool might just be (or is) beyond your means. But I'm here to help and as the crazy, on fire for life, Mr. Anthony Robbins says, "No one ever failed because of a lack of resources. They failed because of a lack of

resourcefulness."
